How To Purge Your Closet – With some good help!
I recently did an in-person closet purge with Kathy from Reviveurstyle.com.
It was by far one of the funnest and eye-opening experiences I have ever had.
Over the last 10 years my wardrobe has diminished to yoga pants and T-shirts! My closet was full of stuff.
Some I liked but never wore and other items I thought might have some life left in them but again never wore.
Kathy helped me separate everything out into seasons. This exercise taught me so much about my color, fabrics, and buying habits.
For instance, I had 10 sheath style dresses! Go figure right?
Also found I gravitate towards items that hang loosely around my mom bod. While loose-fitting clothes have always been a preference, the size I was buying was still a size too big and making me look frumpy instead of creating a more free-flowing look I was hoping for.
My takeaways for shopping have been to stop buying because it’s on-trend or a great sale piece and focus more on fabric, quality stitching and size. Not to mention stop buying online, touch and feel is key!!
The experience was well worth it and highly recommend to you all (https://stylebestie.com/listing/revive-style-consultants/).
I found the article below which really hit on all the key points Kathy and I talked about during our 3-hour session and hope you find it helpful too!!
